About Us

Celebrating 55 Years!  Ruritan's purpose is to create a better understanding among people and through volunteer community service, make America's communities better places in which to live and work.  Club membership represents a cross-section of the community, and is not restrictive with regard to occupation, social position, or any other specific criteria.   The Valley View Ruritan club was founded in 1962 with thirty-two charter members. 

How We're Helping

Valley View Schools is at the heart of our community and the focus of our mission through outreach programs such as: Scholarships to VVHS Graduating Seniors, "Big Brother" to Valley View Boy Scout Pack 1225, Christmas Food Basket Distribution to Blazers in Need, Donation of the Ruritan Park and Pavilion, Annual Elementary Easter Egg Hunt, "Adopt a Street" project  on Valley View Drive as partners with Boy Scout Pack 1225
